800 g vanilla sponge200 g strawberry jam300 g whipped cream15 g icing sugar

Using: kitchen and oven

Trim any domed tops from the fully cooled sponge layers. Place one layer on a serving plate.

Spread with strawberry jam, then spoon or pipe the whipped cream evenly over it, leaving a small margin at the edge.

Set the second sponge on top without pressing hard. Dust with icing sugar and chill until shortly before serving.
